Resident Council

Purpose:

The Resident Council strives to improve the quality of life for our residents by providing them with a platform to share their thoughts, concerns, and opinions regarding the day-to-day operations of the Home.

This platform supports the participation of in-home activities and community interaction, as well as encouraging the exchange of ideas, suggestions and concerns.

The Resident Council is led by a President, with representation from each resident home area. All residents are encouraged to attend and participate.

Family council

Purpose:

The Family Council is designed to provide assistance, information and advice to the residents, their family members and persons important to residents regarding their rights under the Act. The Family Council sponsors and plans activities for residents; provides support and educational programs; collaborates with community groups and volunteers concerning activities for residents. Any family member, or persons important to the resident, may join the Family Council.

Meeting Space

Madison will provide meeting space for the members of the Resident Council and Family Council and arrange for assistance from another person acceptable to the Council, without interfering or obstructing the duties of the Council.
